If you are an avid golfer or just like to watch the champions play, Naples, Florida, is the place to be. From October through Easter, in particular, there are tournaments all over both Collier and Lee County. Some of the most renowned names in the golf world have designed courses here and many will host signature events. Two of the most popular events are listed below, tickets go pretty fast so you may want to purchase them as soon as you can.
LPGA CME Group Tour Championship – top players on the LPGA Tour will gather at the Tiburon Golf Club at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort on Nov. 17-22. General admission weekly tickets are $50; and general admission daily tickets are $25. Kids 17 and under are free with a ticketed adult. General admission parking passes are $5, or $20 for the week (Tuesday through Sunday). Now through Sunday, Nov. 22, select area Subway restaurants will give fans the opportunity to purchase two daily tickets for the price of one to the CME Group Tour Championship. Franklin Templeton Shootout –this yearly PGA Tour event, hosted by Greg Norman, is at Tiburon Golf Club on Dec. 7-12.The Collier Club is $85 per day or $195 per week and the upgraded ticket includes complimentary beer, wine, soft drinks and snacks. The weekly grounds ticket is $80. The 18th green daily reserved seat is $55 for Dec. 10 or 11, or $65 for the final round Dec. 12. Daily grounds tickets are $30 in advance or $35 during tournament week on Dec. 10, 11 or 12, or $25 in advance or $30 during tournament week on Dec. 7 or 8. The 2015-2016 Shark Pass is $110 and includes a weekly grounds pass and vouchers for over 85 rounds of golf at 12 Southwest Florida private clubs. Contact: 254-9770
