I read an article today about a new trend taking hold across the country. Guest houses are no longer exclusive to the ultra rich, $10 million+ properties but the trend is gaining popularity among the lower, $3 to $5 million end of the luxury home market as well.
We are definitely seeing this to be true in Naples. Guest houses have been around for quite some time down here but not to the degree we are seeing them incorporated into rehabbed/new home plans in all price ranges today.
With the resurgence of Olde Florida and Modern West Indies architecture, guest houses lend themselves nicely to today's desired functionality (guests, office, studio, or kid hangout) and look of the property.
