In February, Naples showcases not only the year’s most ideal weather, but also one of the country’s top 25 art shows. Consistently ranking nationally, the 41st annual Naples National Art Show will not disappoint. Whether you’re a fan of art, or just looking for an event to bask in the quintessential February weather, here’s everything you need to know about this must-attend event.
February 22nd and February 23rd 10 A.M. - 5 P.M.
Cambier Park - along 8th Street South in historic downtown Old Naples, and only one block from Fifth Avenue South.
Fifth Avenue South showcases unique boutiques, locally-owned shops, and national retailers. Filled with Old-Florida charm, Fifth Avenue South is perfect for window shopping or splurging at one of the bountiful and thriving restaurants or shops along the avenue before or after your art show experience.
Street and garage parking are free and within easy walking distance.
Entry is free, but a $5 donation is suggested, as it supports the non-profit Naples Art Association’s educational programs.
As the Naples National Art Show is a competitive event, artists must apply in order to participate. Drawing from the finest artists in the country, the event showcases 18 categories of the most talented designers. One hundred ninety artists will showcase ceramics, digital art, fiber/leather, glass, furniture, jewelry, mixed media, paintings, photography, sculptures, and more.
On Saturday at 5 P.M., the festival’s top artists will receive awards “on the basis of artistic merit, design, vision, creativity, craftsmanship, technical competence, degree of difficulty, mastery of materials and marketability.”
The Naples Art Association will host the National Evening Concert in the Cambier Band Shell on Saturday evening from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. The Blu-Tones will play some of the greatest hits from the 50’s - 70’s. Artichoke & Company will also provide a variety of small bites and drinks.
