The Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club is recognized as one of the best beach hotels by the readers of Smart Meetings magazine. The hotel received the Bronze Award in the “Best Beach Hotel” category next to the Laguna Cliffs Marriott Resort & Spa in Southern California (Silver Award) and Paradisus Punta Cana Resort in the Dominican Republic (Gold Award).
The hotel was built in 1946 by Henry Watkins Sr. a toy manufacturer from Ohio. The hotel has since had many additions and renovations including the guest rooms. The Watkins family still own and operate the resort making sure to create a first rate experience for their guests. They have pumped over 65 million into making sure the hotel stays relevant and appreciated.
It doesn't surprise me with the many amenities including an 18 hole golf course, conference center, Gulf front dining, beachside bar, and spa that it received this award. On top of the amenities the hotel is ideally located within 5 minutes to the 5th Avenue and 3rd Street shopping/dining districts and 10 minutes to Mercato, the newest hot spot in Naples adding even more allure.
Of course the big draw is the beautiful beach front setting. A regular destination for Neapolitans as well.
