Here is a recent release from RealtyTrac that highlights the low property tax rate the residents of Collier County enjoy when compared to Ft. Myers, the rest of Florida and the Nation as a whole. Just another "arrow in the quiver" for beautiful Naples, Florida.
As the deadline for filing taxes approaches, here’s a spot of joy to consider: owners of single-family homes in Southwest Florida have an effective property tax rate that’s lower than the national average. A report by Irvine, California-based RealtyTrac released last week shows that the effective tax rate for homes in Collier County for 2014 was 0.86 percent, and in Lee County, 1.25 percent. But nationally, homeowners pay a rate of 1.29 percent.
