In a traditional end-of-season celebration, the Taste of Collier celebrates its 30th anniversary this weekend on Sunday, April 28 from noon to 4pm at Bayfront at Goodlette-Frank Road and U.S. 41 East. Over thirty restaurants show off their gastronomic chops with tasty small-plate samples of stone crab claws, beef Bourguignon, sashimi and a wide variety of mouthwatering delights. It is a great opportunity to learn about new restaurants and enjoy the festive atmosphere that includes music, ice sculpture demonstrations, kiddie amusements and the Iron Chef competition. Admission is $5 and food samples range from $3 to $5. Proceeds benefit a variety of local charities.
