Southwest Florida Theater Ranks 12th in Top 50 Worldwide Theater Venues

The Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall provides Southwestern Florida residents with a full spectrum of cultural offerings and has ranked 12th among Pollstar's Top 50 Theater Venues for Worldwide Ticket Sales. The Hall's ticket count of 71,929 for the first quarter came in ahead of the Fox Theater in Atlanta (13th) and the Beacon Theater in New York City (27th). The five other Florida venues on the list are Broward Center Au-Rene Theater in Fort Lauderdale (4th), Dreyfoos Hall in West Palm Beach (5th), Ruth Eckard Hall in Clearwater (10th), Florida Theater in Jacksonville (37th) and the Knight Concert Hall in Miami (42nd).

The theater includes an orchestra pit and a dance floor. Located on the campus of Florida Southwestern College, the Mann Hall features the largest proscenium stage in SW Florida. The 1,874-seat facility also features a full service in-house box office and full service concessions. The programming schedule includes touring Broadway, contemporary concerts, comedy, dance and children’s programming. It also plays host to performances by the Southwest Florida Symphony and the Gulf Coast Symphony orchestras as well as other regional cultural offerings. This season's lineup includes Hall & Oates, Kenny G, the Nutcracker, Sound of Music, a Michael Jackson Tribute, Vince Gill and Lyle Lovett.
