If you are looking to save money on new appliances, Florida's upcoming sales tax holiday on energy-efficient appliances and water-saving products is happening September 19 through September 21. The tax holiday covers qualifying Energy Star and WaterSense products, which help lower your monthly utility bills. They conserve energy and water for future generations and help reduce harmful air pollution.
Sales tax won't be collected on the first $1,500 of the price of qualifying products during the tax-free weekend. Consumers are limited to one tax-free purchase of any item that costs more than $500, and it doesn't apply to any rentals or repairs. There are no quantity limits on items that cost less than $500.
