It looks as though 5th Avenue will lose a few favorite hot spots soon. Café Luna, Bella Maria, and the Wine Café are just a few of the businesses that will be taken down to make way for a mixed use building that will include ground floor commercial, second floor residential units and space for parking.
It's always a bummer to see good places go, especially when they are big draws for late night activity such as these are.
There are a few hurdles yet to jump over dealing with needed variances but it looks pretty promising that it will be passed.
Let's hope the new building replaces these restaurants with something equally attractive to visitors and locals alike.
