Olde Naples Is an Ideal Community Setting, by Tricia Raynor

Research by National Association of Realtors (NAR) shows that 60% of Americans prefer a neighborhood with a mix of houses, stores and other businesses within walking distance, rather than neighborhoods that require more driving.
Of the 1500 adult Americans surveyed, 52% preferred a single family house with a large yard, while 78% said that the neighborhood was more important than the size of the house. 57% would choose shorter commute over a large yard, and 55% would choose walking distance to schools, stores and restaurants over a large yard.

According to NAR's preference survey for what most Americans consider an ideal community, the most popular choice was a suburban setting with a mix of houses, shops and businesses. The least popular community was a suburban neighborhood with just houses.

Hmmm... Now, where in Naples do we find that ideal setting of a walkable, mixed-use neighborhood, and to top it off, blocks from the beach? Why, Olde Naples, of course!

There are currently 54 single family homes listed for sale in Olde Naples. Prices begin at $953,000 for a 1957 home, and continue up to $7.495M for a historic estate home one property from the sugary beaches of the Gulf of Mexico. Of these 54 listings, 16 are new construction!

There are also 84 condos currently on the market in Olde Naples in the form of low-to-high rises, townhouses and villas, and vary from a room unit at the Cove Inn to a $2.695M penthouse on 5th Ave.
