It's that time of year where the weather is perfect and the smell of kettle corn permeates the air on 3rd Street South in Old Naples. The Farmers Market will be held directly on 3rd Street south this Saturday morning. The street will be blocked off from Broad Avenue South to 13th Avenue South. It is a great opportunity to meet your neighbors, hear some great music, and pick up some local vegetables. It is one of many special events in Naples that brings the community together and highlights what Southwest Florida has to offer. Some of my favorite vendors are the fresh fish from Captain Kirk's Seafood, picking up a jar of honey that is specific to my zip code, and the amazing bounty of organic fruits. After the market, you will see families biking through Aqualane Shores and Port Royal or walking down to the beach and Naples Pier. The market will be held on 3rd Street South during the following dates 12/1, 12/15, 1/5, 1/19, 2/2, 2/16, 3/2, 3/23, 4/6, 4/20.
