A front-page story the other day reported that Cape Coral/Fort Myers and Naples finished four and five respectively in national rankings for great places to retire.
In fact, the rating by portfolio.com, a national business news website, said these are the best places to retire.
Topping the list is Bradenton-Sarasota; other places in Florida include Palm Bay/Melbourne (No. 6); Homosassa Springs, (7) Ocala (8), Punta Gorda (9) and Port St. Lucie (10).
What this says to us is, we’ve got it good for weather (at least most of the time) and overall quality of life.
What it also says is that there is stiff competition. Seniors have a lot of other places from which to choose.
Those standards can be fickle and fluctuate.
