Naples is a highly sought-after destination because of its pristine beaches and ideal weather. Atop the list of reasons that Naples is “cool” this October has nothing to do with the weather, though, and everything to do with the fact that MovieMaker Magazine has named the Naples International Film Festival one of the “25 Coolest Film Festivals in the World.” Here are all the details about this must-attend event:
Known as a “cultural campus and center for the arts” in Southwest Florida, Artis-Naples acquired the Naples International Film Festival in 2017. Artis-Naples has broadened its film offerings and has proven successful in growing the festival’s platform and popularity. This October’s four-day event will include over 60 screenings.
Dates and Venues
The Naples International Film Festival will run from October 24th-27th. Hours will vary by performance, but films will be screened daily. The Opening Night Film Party and Closing Night events will be held at Artis-Naples, and all competition films will be shown at Silverspot Cinema, a luxury theater located in the upscale Mercato shopping and dining district.
Tickets are currently on sale for all events:
Opening Night Film Party and Tickets - $69
Film Festival Screening Tickets
Closing Night Awards Ceremony, Film & Wrap Party - $29-$59
5:30 P.M. Awards Ceremony
7:00 P.M. Raiders of the Lost Ark in Concert
Access to Post-Film Wrap Party
The festival invites submissions from around the world for six categories: narratives, documentaries, shorts, and student films. Films are reviewed by a screening committee which chooses the most outstanding films. The 11th annual Naples International Film Festival promises not to disappoint with its selections. This year, the festival plans to award $25,000 in cash prizes.
