Naples Home Prices Up 17% in March

04/13/13

According to a report from the Naples Area Board of REALTORS, the Naples area overall median home price increased 17 percent for the 12 months that ended in March 2013.

Along the beach (Zip Codes 34102, 34103 and 34108) for the 12 months ending March 2013, total number of sales is up by 14%, the Median Closed Price is up 16%, inventory is down by 17%, and average days on the market decreased by 18%.

Dr. Gary L. Jackson, Director of the Regional Economic Research Institute at Florida Gulf Coast University reports notable improvements in our local economy. Collier County issued 110 single-family building permits in February 2013, up from 58 in February 2012. Taxable sales in Collier County are up 4% in December 2012 over December 2011 indicating improvement in consumer spending. Passenger traffic at Southwest Florida International airport in January 2013 was up 7% from January 2012. Collier County’s tourism tax revenues increased 8% January 2012.

You need not look further than Old Naples to witness this building boom. Looking at new homes, there are about 25 new homes actively listed on the market, plus 6 pending and four already closed, plus several others coming out of the ground but not yet listed. There is a wonderful selection and, with season winding down, this is a great time to make an offer and begin to enjoy the fabulous Old Naples lifestyle. Call me to find out more.
