Mr. G, the co-owner of Aqua Seafood & Steaks, the inviting, open-air restaurant located on 5th Avenue South, says he loves his well-educated, well-traveled customers that value a quality dining experience here. What we love about Aqua is when George, our attentive waiter from our last visit, greets us by name. It’s the kind of local restaurant that brings over your preferred cocktail before asking for it and personally gets to know the regulars, snowbirds, and visitors alike.
Goran, Aqua’s other co-owner, came to us from Macedonia, via Northeast Ohio and New Jersey. Together, Goran and Mr. G have been in business in Naples shy of two years, but have already racked up a number of accolades. With fresh-caught and local menu items such as miso-glazed sea bass and 5oz. and 7oz. filets, it's no wonder that Aqua was listed on Gulfshore Life Magazine’s "Top 5 Restaurants in Southwest Florida."
Everyone seems to have a different favorite here -- a good thing considering the other typically limiting Mediterranean menus around town. Regular Aqua visitor Greg Hunt swears by the seared pork belly appetizer while Cindy Gale prefers the whole-fish special (she had the branzino) served with risotto, asparagus and white wine, lemon butter sauce, topped with capers. *Fun Fact: The whole-fish special makeup for 33% of Aqua’s business.
