NCH earns top grades for patient safety.
Of great importance to any community is the quality of the health care offered. Over the years Naples Community Healthcare System has won many awards and offers residents of Collier County some of the finest medical care in the country.
The NCH Healthcare System has earned an “A” grade from the Leapfrog Group for patient safety, the only system in Collier and Lee counties to get the top mark. Leapfrog evaluates hospitals for patient safety for how well hospitals protect patients from preventable medical errors, injuries and infections. Both the NCH North Naples Hospital and NCH Downtown Naples Hospital received A’s, according to the national nonprofit hospital safety watchdog organization.
“NCH colleagues and medical staff are engaged in projects and initiatives that produce excellent patient outcomes and national recognition but nothing is as important to us as patient safety,” Dr. Allen Weiss, president and chief executive officer of NCH, said in a news release. “Hospitals with outstanding safety performance raise the standard of health care on a local and national basis.”
