Keep Collier Beautiful International Coastal Cleanup / Summerjazz on the Gulf

 

Naples is bustling today with local activites. This morning Keep Collier Beautiful is sponsoring the International Coastal Cleanup. This signature event is part of the Ocean Conservancy's annual International Coastal Cleanup that brings together volunteers from countries aroung the world to remove trash and debris from waterways that lead to our oceans. Local cleanup sites include the folling locations: Barefoot Beach Preserve, Clam Pass, Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park, Gulf Shores Marina, Lowdermilk Park, Naples Bay, Naples Pier, Rookery Bay, Tigertail Beach, Vanderbilt Beach and Golden Gate Canals. Local residents are asked to help do their part to keep Naples beautiful.

Then this evening come out to the 28th annual SummerJazz on the Gulf concert series at the Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club. The fun, free concert series, combines a diverse selection of Jazz entertainers with picturesque Gulf views, beautiful sunsets, refreshing breezes, and a relaxing atmosphere. Tonight's band is The Betty Fox Band. Concerts are held on the resort’s Watkins Lawn overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. Parking is available at Lowdermilk Park, with complimentary parking for those with a Naples beach sticker, and free trolley service to the resort and back. Guests may bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating.
