I had the opportunity to show a couple homes in Grey Oaks yesterday. We had originally been looking at 6000+ square foot condominiums on Gulf Shore Blvd. and kicking around a few ideas in Port Royal. It was a perfect South Florida Friday afternoon, sunny and 75 degrees with a cool breeze. We started our tour in the Estuary at Grey Oaks and viewed a few phenomenal homes built with Grey Oaks prefered builders. These estates are on very large lots giving the opportunity to have luxurious outdoor living spaces with resort style pools overlooking one of Naples most prestigious golf courses mingled with well manicured lakes. My clients were very suspect as to whether they could give up the Gulf and Bay views they had originally desired. Once we stepped into a brand new home with the sliders opened to the outdoors and spacious flowing floor plan they understood they have options.
We finished viewing several homes and a few prime lots ready for a custom built home we proceeded to the Clubhouse for lunch. Grey Oaks has just finished a $20+ million dollar renovation the the club and upon our arrival it was in full swing. The transformation for me was jaw dropping as I have shown Grey Oaks for the past 18 years as a realtor in Naples and despite how wonderful the community is the clubhouse amenities left an underwhelming feeling compared to the neighborhood aesthetics. For my clients, being that it was their first visit, they were beyond impressed! Grey Oaks has created a resort atmosphere starting with an incredible pool with lap lanes, waterfall, and probably 3 times the size of the one that was there before. The pool is surrounded by gorgeous decking adorned with many shaded enclaves, fire pits, lounging, and dining areas. Straight from the pool you a lead to a festive indoor/ outdoor bar and dining room. The centerpiece is a massive stone bar lit up with many TVs facing in every direction showing off every sporting event. A large pizza oven separates the bar area from a casual dining room surrounded by a large duck with seating overlooking a lake and park like setting.
I was blown away as to how well thought out and executed this transformation is for Grey Oaks. It is my opinion that this will leave no doubt in the minds of the Country Club buyer that this is what a golf community in Naples should be.
