Gordon River Greenway Park in Naples Is Now Partially Open

The first section of the Gordon River Greenway Park in Naples has now opened, starting at Golden Gate Parkway and going south past the Conservancy and the Zoo. This approximately 0.8 mile section of wide scenic paved and boardwalk nature trail runs along the Gordon River and is open to pedestrians, bikes, scooters, skates, and dogs on leash. Motorized vehicles are not allowed. Lighted paths allow for evening strolls, as park hours are from sunrise to 10 pm.
When the Gordon River Greenway Park is complete, it will stretch two miles from Golden Gate Parkway ending at Central Avenue, in the heart of Olde Naples. It will include restrooms, picnic shelter areas, canoe and kayak launches, rear entrance access to the Naples Zoo and the Conservancy of Southwest Florida, as well as access to Naples Dog Park.

The natural beauty of Greenway Park now gives Naples' residents and visitors yet another choice among the abundant green spaces our beautiful city provides.
