Snow is falling, lights are twinkling, and festive music is filling the air this December. Naples is ready for another extraordinary holiday season. When your friends and family are looking to bask in Florida-style holiday cheer, they won’t be disappointed. Here are four ways to entertain your friends and family this holiday season:
Christmas in Naples on 5th Avenue South
December 6th - 6 P.M. - 9 P.M.
Visit Sugden Plaza, on historic Fifth Avenue South, to witness Mayor Bill Barnett illuminate the avenue’s famous Christmas tree. Witness a live nativity scene, “snow,” an operatic concert, and Santa himself. For the first time, a 1,600 foot-long table will span five blocks and showcase the area’s finest restaurants: Vergina, Sails, Caffe Milano, La Trattoria, BICE, Cafe Molto, The French, Osteria Tulia, and Ocean Prime. Reserve a spot at the table, or just take a stroll to vote for the “Best in Show.”
Naples Christmas Parade
December 10th - 6 P.M. - 8 P.M.
Beginning on Broad Avenue, and continuing on to Third Street South and Fifth Avenue South, the Naples Christmas Parade is magical. Santa and Mrs. Claus make their traditional appearance, as do floats, fire engines, bands, and dance troupes.
Christmas Boat Parade on Naples Bay
December 14th - 6:15 P.M. - 8 P.M.
Either make your way into the Naples Bay via boat, or venture out to your favorite restaurant or location to view the Christmas Boat Parade. Boats are adorned with twinkling holiday lights and can be viewed from Landings Park, Bayview Park, Pinchers, Riverwalk, Kelly’s Fish House, The Boathouse Restaurant, or Naples City Dock.
Night Lights in the Naples Botanical Garden
Nightly through December 23rd 6 P.M. - 9 P.M.
Bask in the holiday season amid the natural beauty of the illuminated tropics. Meander through Naples Botanical Garden’s collection of festively adorned foliage, while soaking in performances from Opera Naples Youth Chorus and Naples Ballet. Thousands of twinkly lights will lead you through the gardens as you sample specialty menu items and signature cocktails from the Fogg Cafe. Don’t forget to make a wish on the Wishing Tree.
