Located where the Clock restaurant sat for years on HWY 41 on the north side of Old Naples. I ate there for the first time this morning and left satisfied and impressed. It was light and bright despite the morning rain, it was clean, with a helpful and congenial wait staff, and amazing food. It is an upscale menu with a hint of southern fare including grits, fried green tomatoes, and beignets.
Naples has really evolved quickly into a foodie town with many amazing places to eat and a wide variety considering that we are still a small beach town. The amenities such as nice restaurants, parks, and entertainment has been expanding along with our popularity and population. The fact that more and more people are calling Naples their home year-round has spurred a huge demand for these types of amenities. No longer do businesses have to stress over the season as a make it or break it time. I think we will continue to see businesses from mom and pop diners to fortune 500 companies look to Naples and Southwest Florida as an ultimate destination. Forbes this year listed Naples, Florida, as #4 in the nation for job growth at 5.6% for 2014.
