Florida's Population Grows Decade After Decade

05/10/11

The 2000-2010 period was the fourth consecutive decade to see the Florida population grow by more than a 2.8million people. Its percent increase was 17.6% over the last decade. The eighth largest in the country. Only two counties of the 67 saw declines in that period, Monroe, and Pinellas. More than half of the state's population growth occurred in eight counties, with the largest increases in counties in central and south Florida.
