Collier County (Naples area) visitors were up 5.6% over 2011 with 1.57 million visitors. Those visitors had an economic impact of whopping $1.4 billion dollars, up 11%.
Nightly room rents increased by 3.5% to 2.3 million. Of these travelers Europeans played a big part with an increase of 18%. Canadian travelers were up 28% and Midwesterners were up 8.8% over 2011.
