When you and your guests have had enough fun in the sun and are looking for a change of pace, visit these top Naples’ museums:

The Baker Museum

Part of Artis-Naples, located on Pelican Bay Boulevard in North Naples, The Baker Museum boasts being “one of the foremost fine art museums in Southwest Florida.” The museum’s focus is on modern and contemporary art and showcases world-class exhibitions. In addition to housing a permanent art collection, which includes American Modernism, 20th-Century Mexican Art, Sculpture, and 3-Dimensional Art, The Baker Museum also welcomes traveling exhibitions. Upcoming exhibitions will include Monet to Matisse, Looking at Words: A Poetry of Shape, Color Field, and Expressions: Matisse and Modern Art.

Naples Art Association

Located in historic Old Naples, just off 5th Avenue South, Naples Art Association can be found at the Von Liebig Art Center. Each year, Naples Art Association hosts a variety of exhibitions, filling their gallery with a rich variety of artists - local, national, and international. Located in the restored Seaboard Air Line Railway Station, originally constructed in 1927 and just blocks from the modern and bustling 5th Avenue South shopping and dining district, the Naples Depot Museum takes guests back in time. While touring the historic landmark, visitors will learn about the area’s history of transportation and trade. The museum showcases vintage railroads and railcars, canoes, wagons, and a swamp buggy. Children will be in awe of the functioning miniature railroad that circles the museum and the Lionel Train Museum that is located within the building.

Historic Palm Cottage

Built in 1895, and just one block from the Naples Pier, Historic Palm Cottage is Naples’ oldest house. The Cottage offers guided house tours and walking tours of Naples’ historic district. Along with the purchase price for the tour, visitors are welcome to a self-guided tour of the Norris Gardens - former site of Crayton Cottage, another historic home, and now a Victorian garden which showcases indigenous Florida plants.
