The curtain is closer to rising on the long-awaited Bayshore Cultural and Performing Arts Center in East Naples. The arts center will be located at the Northwest corner of Bayshore Drive and Thomasson Drive, and will occupy around 11 acres. Plans for the center include an opera house-style theater with 700 seats, plus an adjacent 150-seat theater for musical and dance performances. Gallery and studio space, a covered outdoor area, rehearsal rooms, offices, parking and perhaps an amphitheater also are part of the group’s plans. The location is just a few miles from Olde Naples, Aqualane Shores, and Port Royal, on the East side of Naples Bay.
