Once your home is under contract there are few things that you can do to prepare for your home inspection.
Check your lights and change bulbs that are not working. An inspector will treat a burnt out light bulb like a deffective electrical system.
Change and replace your air filters. You don't want to have to pay an HVAC company to come out for no reason. Typical house calls for a reputable HVAC company can run as high as $400 for routine maintenance.
Fill your sinks with water. Every insptector is looking for slow draining sinks. If they drain slowly use some Draino and declog the pipes yourself.
With a little effort on your part you can knock out these easy things before the home inspection and save yourself some serious money.
