With family roots in Naples dating back to 1954, Naples native Mark Cardillo used his intellect and athleticism to earn a scholarship to play baseball and football at Villanova University. After graduating from Villanova in 2005, Mark pursued a four-year professional baseball career in the Italian Baseball League playing for Milan and Florence where he earned All Star status for Lombardia. While in Italy, he became bi-lingual and holds dual Italian citizenship.
Upon returning to the United States, Mark earned a Master of Science degree in Sports Management from Columbia University. While pursuing his masters, he interned at sports organizations such as Major League Baseball and Creative Artists Agency. Upon graduation, Mark worked at the United States Golf Association where he was instrumental in starting the Drive, Chip and Putt program held at Augusta National Golf Club. He also worked as a Property Manager for Atlantic Investment Services and oversaw 14 buildings in Hudson County, New Jersey which fostered his interest in real estate. Additionally, Mark coached baseball and taught Sports Marketing at the Universita degli Studi di Brescia.
Locally, Mark has received recognition from the Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce for Outstanding Public Service and Leadership. He has volunteered coaching in YMCA youth basketball and at the First Tee of Naples.
